Meet The Doctors



Dr. Lance Schaefer, BSc., DDS

Dr. Lance Schaefer graduated from Dalhousie University in 2005. He began his career practicing dentistry in the Canadian Armed Forces until 2009 when he purchased a family practice in Oromocto, New Brunswick. In 2017, Dr. Schaefer and his family moved back home to Nova Scotia to raise their two children closer to family and friends. In 2019, he joined Basin View Family Dentistry and is excited to provide quality family dentistry for Bedford and surrounding areas. He grew up on the Atlantic Ocean and enjoys working in such a therapeutic setting on the Bedford basin.

He has wanted to be a dentist since childhood. He loves the profession and has volunteered on many committees and societies for organized dentistry, including the president of the Fredericton Dental Society, Fredericton Area Representative for the New Brunswick Dental Society and others. Dr. Schaefer is also committed to giving back to the community. He co-founded Smiles for Fredericton, an annual free dental day for patients that have limited access to oral health care. He is a life-long learner and spends many hours continuing his dental education in the areas of implants, sedation, endodontics (root canals) and surgery.  He is an active member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, East Coast Endodontic Study Club, Halifax  County Dental Society and the Annapolis Valley Dental Society.

Outside of work he is a committed husband and father of two. His favorite pass time is spending time with his young family and ever-growing extended family. He enjoys fine woodworking, biking, hiking, water sports and continues to educate himself on how to live a healthy lifestyle. 


Dr. Michelle Moller, BSc., DDS

Dr. Michelle Moller has been practicing dentistry for more than 17 years. She graduated in 1987 with her Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from St. Mary’s University and went on to graduate in 1991 from Dalhousie University with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Moller began her practice in Clayton Park and in 1994 moved to Bedford, opening a new office in 2002 on the Bedford Waterfront.

Dr. Moller is a general practitioner and enjoys all aspects of dentistry, however her special interests are pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry, In the past Dr. Moller has shared her expertise as a part-time clinical instructor at Dalhousie University both in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and the Department of Clinical Sciences. She has also volunteered on many committees for her profession including the Communications Committee and the Nova Scotia Oral Health Convention Committee. Dr. Moller is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Nova Scotia Dental Association.

In addition to practicing full-time Dr. Moller is busy at home with her husband and two children. In her spare time she volunteers for her church, and enjoys golf, reading, pilates and has recently began an interest in yoga.


Dr. Kholoud Aljiboury, BDS, M.Sc Ped., DDS

Dr. Kholoud Aljiboury graduated with her dental degree from Baghdad University and went on to receive specialty training and a Master’s degree in Pediatric dentistry from the University of London, UK. After several years of practicing in the Middle East, she moved to Nova Scotia with her family and completed her DDS at Dalhousie university.  She practiced at Granville Dental Centre and Lozowski & Hadad Family Dental, while also teaching part time at Dalhousie University Department of Clinical Sciences. Due to family circumstances she moved to Saudi Arabia and practiced as a consultant Pediatric Dentist at the Royal Clinic and taught part time at Riyadh Elm University & King Saud University. In 2019 she returned to Nova Scotia and joined Basin View Family Dentistry. With many years of knowledge and experience working with children, she has limited her practice to pediatrics. Dr. Aljiboury is bilingual in Arabic and English and her priority is to make her patients dental experience more positive and relaxing. 

When she is not working, she spends her time with family, gardening outdoors, walking and swimming.


Dr. Miranda Walsh, BSc., DDS

Dr. Miranda Walsh grew up in Windsor, NS with dental being a huge part of her life.  Following in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Walsh completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Dalhousie University after she graduated from Acadia University, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.  The pull of home has brought her back to NS after starting her dental career in Calgary, AB.

She is passionate about building strong relationships with patients, in order to provide them with the best possible care. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and excels at working with children.  Dr. Walsh also will be providing nitrous treatment to patients here at Basinview Family Dentistry.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.  We are so excited to have Dr. Walsh join our team.
